DFI - Week 2: Workflow
Understanding the Manaiakalani Kaupapa
Ako - LEARN
The key points I picked up is acknowledging the pre-exisiting knowledge of using paper/books and pencil/pens and how students transferred their knowledge on these materials. The implementation of digital teaching and how our current pandemic of Covid19 forced all educators to move to distance online learning. Throughout this, is supporting 21st century learning.
The goal was to support the community with moving from analogy to digital learning environments.
With this goal is mind, this would result to teacher effectiveness of planning and teaching and promoting students learning.
This made school principals to ask to the question, 'What does LEARN look like at my school?'
From this this question created R (recognise), A (amplify), T (turbocharge), E (effective practice)

Applications of these Google apps and how they make life much easier...
I am going to keep on working on organizing of my emails, so once I have read them, they are can go straight to a folder.
I keep reverting back to what I know, the old school long way of doing things, which makes me reflect that I am working harder and not smarter.
It has taken me 2 sessions to have a better understanding and changing my mind set to try these new skills of using applications and that the facilitators have spend time exploring this applications and how they work to make our lives much easier. eg, notes verse google keep. 'Just keep swimming' and 'smile and wave.'
Anne,
ReplyDeleteLoved reading your blog post today. It's great to see you are taking the time to recognise all the new learning and becoming more fluent with it. There was quite a bit to take in today, but you did well!
Love the way you have set out your blog post! :)
Thank you so much Venessa. I'm loving the new learning. I do feel information overload, but lucky I have you and our bubble to help me process the new learning. I'm loving the new little short cuts to make things easier.
DeleteI am beginning to enjoy blogging.
That's what we are there for! Remember that you also have all the resources shared with you on our agenda! You can go back and look over anything at anytime, ubiquitous.
DeleteGlad you are enjoying blogging! This will be great shared with your students. You could show them that even as teachers we share, reflection and comment.
Keep up the great work!
Kia ora Anne, great visual blog post about your learning here. I did the session today and it was full on with many ideas and tips on how to manage our workflow. Look forward to us putting these into action and being agents of change in our workplace (for better workflow).
